Required:
This is our direct-client opening for a Business Systems Analyst located near Irvine, CA. This is a 6-11 months contract and our client is only looking for clients local to the area.
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the PRECISE analysis, research, documentation, scoping, system design and architecture definition of all electronic commerce features & functionality relating to existing and new systems in the Global Commerce Group. Business Systems Analysts: gather and document functional requirements from business users; refine functional specification into technical specifications in partnership with the system developers; evaluate vendor systems, technologies, products and services; develop frameworks and workflows; write and maintain standards; and engage in R&D with 3rd parties and other internal organizations. All this they do, in order to ensure that the various systems and processes through which the business runs are engineered for integrity, efficiency, and scalability, from a system technology perspective.
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and champion solution patterns and architectural functional and technical specification writing standards and templates.
Interview and gather business client requirements to translate into functional requirements, and then taking those documents, create detailed and precise technical requirements by partnering with the system expert (programmers/developers).
Collaborates with business partners, technology teams, application owners, regional IT teams, to present new technologies, services, solutions.
Coordinate and work with other System Architects to ensure a consistent approach across products, with appropriate software and concept re-use.
Define, document and maintain interface specifications between sub-systems defined by the system architecture, including third party vendors
Works closely with 3rd party vendors, engages in technical discussions and leads evaluation of solutions.
Qualifications:
B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other Business or Technical Degree or equivalent industry experience
Experience with the standard software development, design and architecture methodologies
Exceptional written/oral/interpersonal communication skills
Strong time management skills - as this is a dynamic environment, candidate must be adaptable and flexible, with the ability to quickly prioritize and re prioritize tasks as the situation dictates
Direct hands-on experience in supporting, through analysis and design, iterative product development projects using best SDLC practices
Display a high degree of inquisitiveness and an eagerness to learn at a detailed and abstract level
Ability to quickly grasp business requirements and translate into use cases and functional and technical specifications
Team oriented and able to lead and drive technical solutions, working within large scale complex technology environments
History of accomplishment building and maintaining productive partnerships both internally and with 3rd parties
Must be experienced in liaising between business and development teams to maintain continuous alignment of project scope.
