Job Responsibilities:
We have an immediate need for an outgoing, team-oriented professional to join us as a Functional Analyst on our Information Technology team. This growth-oriented role offer lots of visibility and advancement potential with a nationally recognized healthcare leader. Primary responsibilities include:
• Working with the business areas, developers and project management office to identify and define system requirements for projects and system enhancements
• Translating business requirements into system requirements using use cases and interface document specifications
• Maintaining system requirements/use cases in an IBM Rational RequisitePro Database
• Documenting current workflows where requirements do not exist
• Developing and presenting system process flows and prototypes to aid in the identification of system requirements.
• Applying proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help support the development process and ensure project deliverables are met according to specifications.
• Reviewing test plans for QA
• Serving as a liaison between developers and business areas
• Generating innovative ideas to solve problems
Qualifications
Required Experience:
3+ years experience gathering requirements as a systems analyst
Experience with use case development
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
Familiarity with a requirements management tool
Ability to facilitate requirement definition sessions with business end users
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with IBM Rational RequisitePro
Knowledge of version management tools
Knowledge of issue management tool
Experience with SQL stored procedures
Experience with Java/J2EE
Experience with record layouts and data models
Knowledge of Healthcare, Enrollment, Billing, or Fulfillment system processes
Background in development preferred
