PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

SDM is a night cycle process that runs every day and loads data into Oracle.  Post upload a lot of data aggregation and computation happens and oracle cubes are refreshed and these refreshed cubes are user to populate/ display reports. The time taken for this ~6 hours. As a result of this there is no time for fire drill in case a fire happens. The idea is to reduce this time and make the process more manageable. Currently there are 8 people team that is managing this process. As an immediate process we need to be able to understand the current process and produce a game plan

 

EXPECTATIONS:

1)      Understand the current state of union working closely with technology PM and the existing team.

2)      Define a solution

3)      Estimate, Cost and Plan the solution

4)      Define Program Management and Project Management Plan

5)      Proposal and Costing

 

SKILLS:

1. Fixed Income – a must
2. Business Analysis Knowledge
3. Ability to articulate and document
4. Ability to modularize the work
5. Ability to Architect and Design an execution approach for the program.
6. Technology:
1. Data warehousing Concepts
2. Oracle – ODI and CUBE
3. General Strength in technology
4. Strong System Architecture and Design Skills
5. Strong underlying platform knowledge – LINUX
6. Solid DB knowledge  Oracle and Sybase
7. Good ETL knowledge
7. Ability to estimate – Time and Cost
8. Program and Project Management Skill
9. Comfortable in expression – both written and spoken.
10. Strategic thinker.
