· Design and Develop Data Integration Interfaces
· Assist in creating Functional Specifications
· Create Technical Specifications
Skill Set Requirements
As a Developer
· Data Extraction
· Expert with 2+ relational databases (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, Teradata)
· Expert in SQL
· Expert in Performance Tuning
Programming
· Expert on creating DS data flows (from source to target) · Expert Knowledge with Data Services Transformations
As a Designer
· Everything a developer offers plus
· The ability to translate business requirements into a technical solution.
As an Architect (Designer Skills Incl)
· Everything a designer offers plus
· Overall knowledge of a solution, incl tools other than BW, ex. data services and BO
· The ability to take requirements and develop plan to drive delivery
Data Quality –
· Ability to cleanse & enrich data to insure one version of the truth
Data profiling/metadata mgnt-
· verify business rules,accuracy of source data
Special skill sets required
· Needs to write ABAP
· Stored Procedures
· BASIS
· Web Services
· HANA
· Creation of Generic Extractors
· Have worked with ETL Tools
· Informatica PowerCenter
· Data Stage
· Ab Initio
