Position: Service Delivery Manager
Location: Overland park, KS.
Duration: Perm / FullTime.
The Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for the financial and service delivery success of the services that they are responsible to deliver. As such, the candidate will be supported by a talented cast of technical managers, technical engineering, sales professionals, finance administrators and contract administrators. The Service Delivery Manager will have significant decision making authority over resources, service level agreements, contract amendments, service pricing, service investments, billing, procurement & overall structure of their services.
Primary Job Functions:
• Responsible for the financial and service delivery success of the account's network, voice and security services. This includes, but is not limited to:
o Equipment refresh, contract, finance and service level commitments are being met
o Timely and accurate communications to the customer
o Forecast budget and new sales initiatives
o Timely delivery of projects and new technologies to the customer
o Assist the supporting clients organizations with resource modeling and pricing
o Assist the customer with business continuity planning
o Propose and communicate clients services to the customer
o PCI & vulnerability management compliance
o Ensure proper change control practices are being observed
o Creating statements of work & responding to request for proposals
o Working with local and national product/service vendors
• Ensure clients International Organization of Standardization (ISO) requirements are being met
• Ensure supporting clients organizations are delivering (Leasing, Procurement, Maintenance & etc.) appropriately
Education / Experience:
• 5 + years as a Project Manager, Technical Manager or Service Delivery Manager required
• Past budgetary and/or sales forecasting responsibilities required
• 2 + years of direct network, voice or security management experience preferred
• BA/BS Degree preferred
• Industry technical certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCVP, CISSP) a plus
• Past midrange or application experience a plus
Position Requirements:
• Candidate will need a firm understanding of the major components of network, voice and security services. Although the candidate will not be expected to troubleshoot or install technologies their knowledge of product lines and/or services is essential to assist with proposals and communications to the customer.
• An understanding of basic project management principals is necessary due to the significant amount of projects that the candidate's teams will be responsible to deliver. Must have the ability to review detailed project plans and identify major oversights.
• Must have the ability to understand basic accounting principles and to forecast budgets and/or sales
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
• Little/no travel required
Interpersonal Skills:
• Ability to interface with non-IT savvy business partners as well as technical staff
• Candidate will possess a high-level of written, verbal, presentation & negotiation skills
• Self-starter with excellent time management skills
• Responsible to meet directed deadlines and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to effectively communicate (verbal/written) to customers, supporting teams, senior management and peers
• Team player at all levels
• A big picture thinker
