ETL Developer/Data Analyst

Overview:
The chosen resource will work on a variety of data oriented projects for this Insurance Claims group. The position will report to the current Manager of Advanced Analytics. As a key member of the Advanced Analytics Team, this person would perform a variety of duties to develop, support, document data and data processes that support advanced analytics projects. The candidate should be a team oriented individual that can operate with minimal supervision and be supportive of corporate policies and procedures.
• Work closely with members of the analytics and corporate IT teams as well as business units to gather requirements for tasks and projects
• Design and develop SQL procedures, ETL processes, and tune query performance
• Maintain and manage all versions of data models for production, testing and developing databases
• Code, debug, test, and support custom SQL or VBA applications
• Write technical documentation and share with team in open communication
Qualifications:
• 3+ years as a coder/programmer in a delivery oriented environment (SQL and VBA)
• Proficiency to write and maintain Stored Procedures, T-SQL or PL/SQL Scripts, ETL Processes (SSIS or Informatica)
• Must be well-organized, have strong written and oral communication skills, and be able to work well within a team
• Strong foundation in RDBMS technologies, MS SQL Server or Oracle and have development experience
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Experience with data centric projects, especially Business Intelligence or Predictive Modeling projects.
• Professional consulting experience in a variety of roles.
• Agile Development Methodologies with an emphasis on a disciplined and pragmatic approach to IT problems and solutions.
• Property & Casualty Insurance knowledge.
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree (BS, BA, etc.) in Mathematics, Analytics, Computer Science or a related field
• Master's Degree preferred
