Job Title – Quality Analyst
Duration – 6-12 + months
Location – Burbank, CA
Job Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative skills to conduct fraud prevention and detection activities aimed at improving the quality of Client overall traffic and improve our marketplace. Will be working with engineers who are building software that incorporates heuristics and statistical analysis of patterns/models, machine learning techniques and keeps up with evolving industry trends. The contribution you make will highly impact the experience of our advertisers and publishers of our search and advertising platform. Specifically,
• Investigate advertiser complaints regarding billable click traffic and analyze click behaviors with respect to particular products, advertisers, or affiliate partners
• Create actionable traffic quality risk analytics including identification and creation of relevant datasets, performing data analysis, synthesizing relevant data, and presenting recommendations to management
• Analyze data sets using pattern recognition techniques and statistical techniques to find patterns of behavior indicative of fraud to help design rule sets to detect fraud and other invalid types of behavior
• Identify poor quality and undesirable traffic within our network and work within team to improve traffic sources
• Work with internal teams and clients to provide feedback on our products and work to recommend possible solutions
• Provide guidance to engineers to evolve our analytics platform to support analysts day-to-day activities
• Understand network traffic and advertiser listing, consumers' click behaviors and partner site operations
Minimum Job Qualifications
• 3+ years in analytical and quantitative roles with experience in manipulating large volume of data and data mining techniques
• 1+ years of SQL programming skills to (1) write and run queries, (2) manage, organize, post-process (aggregate, graph) output and (3) automate and batch processes
• Experience in scripting languages such as PIG/ Perl / Ruby / Unix shell scripts
• Fraud analysis, particularly with analyzing access and usage patterns of search-based services
• Knowledge of online advertising & web analytics tools
• Hands-on experience in statistical analysis, with knowledge in statistical tools like R
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Willingness to take initiative and results-oriented to quickly solve problems
• Ability to communicate analysis findings to technical and non-technical audiences
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject such as economics, statistics, and mathematics or in engineering, and computer science
• Experience working effectively in cross-functional & geographically diverse teams
• Basic financial principles, reporting and ratios
