Role: Data Analyst (Telecom Domain)
Location: - New Century, KS
Client: - Centurylink Telecommunications
Description of Work:
· As a Data Analyst and Data Mapper for a large telecommunications conversion project, you will be responsible for modeling & mapping data fields from legacy systems to target systems, working with the business in helping define & develop business rules, value maps, Source to Target Data Mapping documents and assisting ETL Development Team in development activities.
Required Qualifications:
· 6+ years of strong analysis and data mapping experience required is must
· Prior experience working with Telecom Network Information for mapping data from legacy systems to target systems
· Prior experience analyzing business needs, user needs, and business processes to determine system's needs
· SQL experience (queries, joins, etc.) and AS/400 experience strongly desired
· Experience with Data Profiling using SQL and other methods
· Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills
· Solid understand of data analysis techniques or processes
Desired Qualifications:
· Previous consulting or professional desired
· Telecommunications experience required
· Oracle, UNIX and AS/400 knowledge is MUST
· Informatica, Talend or other ETL tool experience is MUST
· Strong problem resolution mentality with a proven ability to be self-motivated
· Solid understanding of Data Validation and Data Quality Methods
