Job description

1.     Experience implementing vendor solutions.

2.     Strong understanding of .NET framework (ASP.NET, VB.NET), MVC, C#, C++ solution building.

3.     Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming techniques and implementation strategies.

4.     Front end experience with HTML/DHTML, CSS, XML, AJAX and Javascript

5.     Expertise with Relational Databases (Oracle databases, SQL Server 2005/2008).  Ability to write SQL Scripts and Queries

6.     Experience with general Web architecture, such as browsers and middle tier.

7.     Experience with version control systems such as SVN.

8.     Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team, including the ability to work with people from all levels of an organization.

9.     Excellent oral and written communication skills.

10.  Excellent organization skills, specifically with assigned tasks and use of time.

11.  Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

12.  Working knowledge of SDLC processes including requirements gathering, design, built, and test.

13.  Must be a fast learner with a strong desire and motivation to learn new technologies, Yale and the higher education environment.

14.  Preferred – Web and system administration experience.

15.  Preferred – Experience with a variety of technologies and tools, such as Web Services, SOAP, UML, XSLT, API, Hibernate, Subversion, Stored Procedures, Python, Hadoop, Hbase, Soir, Visual Studio, Eclipse, Informatica, Windows, Linux, Crystal Reports and other reporting tools.
