Title: Software Developer
Location: Sterling, VA
Duration: 12+ Months
Job Responsibilities:
· Responsible for object-oriented applications programming in the custom application development environment including software installation, configuration, modification, troubleshooting, security, and resource monitoring.
· Design, develop, enhance and maintain software applications using C#.
· Gather requirements, study operations and objectives, and integrate enterprise requirements
· Assist in development-software installation and tuning, default configuration, development-software upgrades, software and application performance, and defect reporting from unit testing.
· Develop tools and procedures to support development in primary languages and architectures.
· Support development activities that require specialized programming and develop programming standards that will be utilized in an Agile environment.
· Recognize and identify potential areas where existing programming procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed.
· Maintain the integrity of the applications, and ensure the continuity with the current processing applications.
· Ensures that all client requests and problems are being appropriately and adequately resolved in a timely basis.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Knowledge/Skills:
· BS in Engineering, Math, or Science required.
· Five years minimum relevant experience required.
· Experience working in Agile environment required.
· Experience designing, developing and maintaining software applications using C# required.
· Experience building 3 tier ASP.NET application
· Experience connecting to SQL Server databases required.
· Experience using Visual Studio .NET, and ASP.NET required.
· Experience building web-based applications or websites.
