§ 7+ years of hands on, practical development experience
§ 5+ years experience with C++ (including boost and STL)
§ 2+ years experience with SQL Server (or SQL Express)
§ 2+ years experience with C#
§ BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field is required
§ Experience migrating C++ applications
§ Practices simplified, standards-compliant, CSS-driven web mark-up
§ Strong knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues
§ Strong understanding and experience in Object Oriented Design and Design Patterns
§ Strong understanding/appreciation of software modularization/organization methods
§ Strong understanding of modern application lifecycle management (continuous integration, automated testing, agile SCM workflow)
§ Ability to take high-level instruction, work independently and take initiative
§ Ability to write clear, concise documentation in English
§ Experience working in an Agile development methodology using Scrum practices
§ Experience in Test Driven Development
§ Experience in creation and execution of automated test suites using NUnit, MSTest, PEX and Selenium
§ Knowledge and experience using Microsoft's Enterprise Library
§ Demonstrated strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills
§ Ability to adapt to continually-changing priorities and aggressive project timeframes and work on fast-paced, complex projects
§ Strong problem-solving skills
§ Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while effectively managing schedule and communicating progress
§ Experience with office automation tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Word), analysis modeling tools (e.g. Visio, ERwin, Rose, UML), and data analysis tools (e.g. TOAD, DBVisualizer)
§ Proven ability to work in a team setting
PREFERRED CHARACTERISTICS:
• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Experience with telecommunications domain and broad knowledge of concepts, systems, and equipment used in modern telecommunications networks
• 3+ years experience in medium to large application development initiatives/projects
• Proven experience developing and delivering software in corporate contexts
• SQL experience a plus (SQL Server & Oracle)
• Ability to provide leadership to project team
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Utilize software requirements and software design artifacts to implement solutions
• Works with development teams and systems analysts on code solutions to meet the requested functionality
• Ability to deliver amidst complexity and change
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to initiate action
• Design, build, and deploy UI application features in a SOA context
• Maintenance of production applications and environments
• Solving business problems through creative and forward-looking solution delivery
• May provide project management tracking and issues resolution support for assigned projects
• Assists with the creation and/or validation of End to End test scenarios and assists with User Acceptance Testing scenarios
• May provide direction and mentoring to less experienced team members
