Summary | The Senior Hyperion Developer will work as a part of the Client's Business Intelligence team through specialist knowledge of the Hyperion Application, through knowledge of integration with external system applications, and through constructive teamwork with the business and other IS teams throughout Client Organisation. |
Responsibilities | Manage support to ensure 24/7 production system availability (off-hours as needed) Drive strategic initiatives, programs, or projects ensuring development is consistent with appropriate business intelligence methodologies and application best practices. Document functional/technical specifications and designs aligned with business needs and in accordance with standard Business Intelligence, Global Governance, and QA best practices. Provide technical guidance in designing Hyperion Planning solutions leveraging various modules, forms, business rules, calculation scripts, varibles, and Essbase databases. Lead configuration and object development, unit testing, and support , integration testing, and regression testing Support change management policies and procedures for application enhancements. Manage production support efforts providing business continuity and system availability of Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Essbase application servers. |
Required Skills | At least 5 years' experience with Hyperion applications including System 9 / System 11. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience with Hyperion Applications. In-depth knowledge of Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Planning Web, Reports, Share Services, Essbase Excel Add-Ins, SmartView. Previous experience of at least 1 full lifecycle of Hyperion Planning implementation. Strong background with data mapping and SQL programming. Past participation in developing standards and practices for object development. Basic understanding of SAP Business Warehouse and integration. Prior experience developing standard operating procedures for data extraction and data loads. Experienced administrator of interface points between Hyperion and external applications. Background with SQL Server administration Extensive knowledge of financial business processes. Knowledge of Six Sigma and process methodologies Demonstrate strong communication skills, oral and written with the ability to communicate across all levels of the business including formal and informal presentations and workshops. Ability to accurately estimate level of effort and provide development estimates. Ability to develop and manage to work plans. Proven capability to coordinate multiple assignments/projects simultaneously while meeting aggressive deadlines. DESIRED - Involved in at least 2 Hyperion implementations. DESIRED - Involved in at least 1 SAP ERP integrated implementation. DESIRED - Six Sigma Green or Black Belt |
