Lead Environment Analyst

 

Technical/Functional Skills         :              

·         Years of Experience: 7, with a specific emphasis in build and process management. Best practice experience implementing and administering tools that standardize code versioning and deployment in both client server and mainframe environments.

·         Technical experience: Minimum 5 years of increasingly responsible IT experience in the field of quality assurance, configuration management, software development and/or technical project management; this includes but not limited to knowledge and understanding of multiple technologies, platforms, build management practices and environment management methodologies.

·         Specific experience with the following tools/technologies is preferred:
o PL/SQL Developer- Required
o Mainframe - CICS and TSO
o Client Server - Oracle, Websphere, etc.
o Data Management tools
o Code versioning tools
o Build management tools

·         Demonstrated leadership ability to accept ownership and to take initiative.

·         Industry knowledge: Experience in industry standard environment management practices; knowledge of financial systems;

·         Project Management: Experience in effectively leading and managing activities on multiple simultaneous cross-functional and cross-organizational projects. Resourceful, detail oriented, methodical, demonstrates time management skills.

 

Desirable Technical /Functional Skills:

·         This role would be responsible for leading all aspects of Environment Management activities. Including but not limited to:

·         Build deployment and data management across multiple complex environments.

·         Process definition, implementation, adherence and maintenance.

·         Tool evaluation, acquisition and administration.

·         The role will interact and collaborate with groups across Business Technology, Information Technology and Business to provide visibility of environment management, drive quality processes and proactively meet environment needs.

·         Specific Responsibilities include;

·         Drive and create corporate business objectives to implement and maintain quality for software deliverables, including process definition, implementation, compliance, traceability and reproducibility through Environment Management.

·         Maintain system stability and environment readiness for technical and business project teams.
Serve as technical expert and mentor for managed environments.

·         Guide and support software development, code migration and related activities using industry best practices and tools.

·         Develop systems and procedures for delivery processes, migrations, and supporting tasks
Identify potential problems through proactive monitoring of environment activity, and supply resolutions.

·         Maintain information for software os, patches and related software.

·         Drive communication promoting informed decision making.

·         Maintain and support auditable practices for internal and external compliance.

·         Create visibility to Environment Management service offerings at multiple levels of the organization including senior leadership, business users and technical users.

·         Align Environment Management goals with project and organizational delivery timelines with solutions to unique and common environments.

·         Maintain project plan and timelines.

·         Create, define, and manage tools, portals, reports to broadcast project and activity status.

·         Sustain vendor relationships for licensing, software procurement, and problem resolution.

·         Configure workflows, notifications, and software builds.

·         Administer tools, user accounts for support, and execution of custom processes.

·         Identify and implement solutions to reduce cost, schedule and inefficiencies for Environment Management and project assets.
