Position:              Project Manager

Location:             Lake Elmo MN

Duration:             1 Year,

 

Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also collaborate to define the project’s requirements, objectives and ensure that the quality control team is involved throughout its life cycle. 

·         Demonstrate expert knowledge in SDLC and PDLC and how to implement solutions 

·         Demonstrate the ability to learn and build SME level knowledge in product specifics. 

·         Demonstrate knowledge on how to execute projects across a variety of methodologies including experience with iterative development., 

·         Demonstrate execution based tactical and pragmatic project management principals 

·         Direct and manage project development through full lifecycle

·         Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle. 

·         Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. 

·         Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. 

·         Liaise with executive stakeholders on an ongoing basis. 

·         Manage and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary. 

·         Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and assist in the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle. 

·         Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. 

·         Pro-actively identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. 

·         Have an understanding of agile/iterative project management and development tools. 

·         Demonstrate the ability to work closely with QA and Business Analysis teams and manage through a matrix. 

·         Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. 

·         Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. 

·         Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Preferred Qualifications- 

·         Typically manage projects with budgets >$2m. 

·         Fully knowledgeable of the Product Development process 

·         Possess knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques 

·         Typically possesses 8+ years of relevant work experience 

·         Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience 

·         Experience of both waterfall and iterative methodologies 

·         Strong familiarity with project management software 

·         Familiar with programming languages, including .NET, Java, PL/SQL and Oracle 

·         Database and operating systems experience with Oracle and SQL. 

·         Solid working knowledge of domain in healthcare and/or publishing 

·         Demonstrated experience in personnel management. 

·         Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. 

·         Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 

·         Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently. 

·         Flexible during times of change. 

·         Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines. 

·         Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating. 

·         Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments. 

·         Ability to defuse tension among project team, should it arise. 

·         Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity.
