IBM Message Broker Conversion Contractor Description
Position Duration: 12 month duration
This contractor will work with the BRAIN Interface Services Team and other MCIT teams to implement HL7 interfaces needed to implement a Computer Assisted Coding (CAC) application running on IBM Message Broker (MB) version 6.1 and will be converted to MB v8. Approximately thirty five interfaces will be implemented for this project. Most interfaces use the WebSphere Transformation Extender (TX) plug-in as part of their HL7 implementation.
Specific activities include:
1. Requirements gathering.
2. Modifying existing interfaces to redirect their data to the CAC application.
3. Helping create the architecture for the migration strategy.
4. Creating / updating the installation cook book.
5. Assisting in the creation of a checklist of the things to do for migrating the interfaces to Production.
6. Doing end-to-end testing on the test server.
7. Checking with end users to test with the Interfaces Services Team and assist in testing if needed and obtaining end-user sign-off.
8. Migrating the interfaces to the production environment.
9. Performing knowledge transfer to the Interface Services Team.
