Oracle Apps DBA

 Description:

Application DBAs are expected to have 7+ years experience working as an Oracle Applications DBA. Applications DBAs provide superior technical and leadership skills to our customers.

 

Requirements:

·         superior individual and group communication skills

·         superior written skills

·         experience with E-Business versions 11i and R12

·         understanding of the sub-layers of 11i and R12: database and application tiers and underlying technical components

·         maintenance activities associated with both the E-Business suite and Oracle Database including: backup / recovery, performance tuning, performance monitoring, problem resolution involving SQL code, space management, object management, capacity planning, patching, cloning, use of command line utilities, and use of E-Business based diagnostic tools

·         experience with major operating systems including UNIX and windows

·         experience with business objects a plus

·         ability to write shell scripts in the above operating systems
