Client is looking for Android Developer - Austin, TX. This is a 3 months contract or contract to hire or permanent position. The Hourly rate and the Salary range is DOE.
Responsibilities:
Develop robust and user-friendly applications for Android devices
Assist product managers in validating business requirements. The developer is not directly responsible for creating business requirements but contributes ideas when needed.
Implement IT specifications based on sound development practices
Implement unit testing based on development guidelines
Required skills & experience:
Degree in computer science or related subject is preferred
Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
1 or more years of Android development experience
Experience developing at least one app published in Android Market
Strong Java core library knowledge
Experience writing applications that utilize a backend RESTful API
Good grasp of data structures and algorithms
Understanding of web technologies and practices such as HTTP, web security
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction
Ability to independently gather and research needed information
Ability to document the code
Preferred skills & experience:
Experience developing internationalized Android applications
Familiar with Agile Development (requirements management, storyboarding, incremental change approaches, continuous integration, and structured branching / versioning)
Familiar with Eclipse IDE
Good understanding of cryptography is a plus
