We are glad to announce the launch of Ophthalmic Mobile Van today (24th Sept 2011) for the service to under privileged citizens of Vadodara & Surrounding Areas.
The van would have an optometrist, driver and equipped with complete eye care equipment. The van will also refer cataract cases to associate hospitals, which perform cataract operations for free for the poor.
The van is donated by Wockhardt Foundation and would be managed by Jiruwala Eye Clinic (Dr Fakruddin Jiruwala Ophthalmologist) & Vikas Trust (Mr Zoher Doctor Founder & Managing Trustee)
Philanthropist Dr Huzaifa Habil Khorakiwala of Wockhardt Foundation under his mission of RIGHT TO VISION runs 11 van through out India. Right to Vision looks to cure the plague of preventable blindness. It is believed that India has 15 million blind people ie 1 in every 80 people is either blind or will turn blind.
Mr Saifuddin Barodawala Head Mobile Health Clinic of Wockhardt Foundation were present during the launch.
