QA Tester WITH STRONG IN SQL
San Diego, CA
Pay Rate: $45hr
FACE 2 FACE
Needs to be a SQL guru –joins, etc
Responsibilities
Develop test scenarios, and test cases based on requirements and an understanding of business process and application structure
Perform white-box testing with focus on back-end SQL databases.
Conduct functional testing of applications
Conduct regression testing of applications
Conduct performance testing of applications
Track defects in a defect tracking system and coordinate their prioritization with the Lead Software QA Engineer
Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Requirements
Position generally requires a Bachelor Degree in business, computer science or equivalent experience plus 5+ years of experience testing software applications. Familiar with software development life-cycle Experience developing test plans, test scenarios, test cases. Experience with accessing SQL databases and writing SQL queries for data analysis. Understands relational databases. Experience working with use-case driven requirements. Experience with HL7 testing. Familiar with UML. Familiar with test automation. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio). Familiarity with XML is a plus.
